Last Saturday, Italian Parliament passed the Law of Stability and, as agreed, the Berlusconi government resigned and, therefore, Italy hopes to open a page transition towards a future better than the recent past.
Unfortunately, the launch of this new phase does not promise to present large discontinuities in the idea that the Italian political forces have of politics and so yesterday continued the litigation between the parties and, in the evening, the leaders of the forces of the center-left have competed to claim credit for the fall of the government and have continued to fuel the manifestations of their people against the long-time hated enemy.
All this does not seem very helpful when it comes time to face the emergency in the name of the good of Italy!
On the other hand, the collapse of the old government is due, in large part, to the inability of the majority in finding, among its many souls, a positive synthesis that would allow to continue the liberal revolution of which they spoke too much and too little has been achieved.
As for the near future, Italy must address the financial emergency and it would be desirable that this should occur with the honest contribution of all political forces, which will prove able to agree quickly on urgent measures to overcome the emergencies and decant the turbid waters of politics, to return the item to the sovereign people in a political context that we hope very different from today's.
With this in mind, no one should feel the bearer of the verb and no one has to groped strange tricks.
If the emergency government must have a technical meaning, it’s necessary to avoid the inclusion of technicians who have openly sided or, worse still, have previously held ministerial positions in politica government.
if the emergency government must be such, it is unthinkable that her program is the full program of any political force, but it must be able to find a synthesis between the different positions by asking each party to give up some of his political dogmas in the name of the good of Italy.
This is what we expect from the government of the President Napolitano!
Otherwise, we’ll face another flop and a further tightening of the political climate that is not what you need to Italy.
